Join our Parent Coaching team and gain regulation strategies to help you help your children succeed.
Focused on the parent first, this online group coaching membership offers a safe and nurturing space for parents of kids who are wired differently to learn and grow. Developed and led by Maria Slavin, MS, OTR/L, occupational therapist and social-emotional learning expert, this group coaching experience will help you learn to manage your own nervous system FIRST so you can do the same for your child. The journey begins with you but also offers expert guidance on social-emotional learning and self-regulation for your neurodivergent child.
"Maria's coaching program has been life changing for me! It has helped me learn ways to approach my child that have made a huge difference in how we interact and problem solve together. Also the support and encouragement Maria and the others in the group provide has given me a new perspective on how to approach challenges with my child and in my own life."
"Working with Maria and the coaching group has helped me connect with other moms who understand the challenges of having a neurodivergent child. I have so many more tools and resources to use to navigate this journey for myself and my children. I would recommend the group and Maria to anyone looking for positive encouragement and community!"
"We have been working with Maria for the past several months to aid our elementary school-aged child’s ability to recognize and regulate emotions, and promote flexible thinking. We appreciate her real world tips and feedback to create effective change."
Maria's career began in the field of occupational therapy (OT) over 20 years ago, where she gained invaluable insights into the complexities of human behavior and the importance of social-emotional learning and self-regulation in order to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
In 2013, Maria founded In-Sync and Social in order to provide social- emotional learning and self-regulation for neurodivergent children and adults. Through-out her career, she has worked in many settings, including pediatric hospitals, public & private schools, early intervention programs, and within leadership of behavioral health organizations. Maria is a trusted clinical and educational consultant both locally in the Philadelphia area and as a speaker at the national level on neuroscience and self-regulation. She has served as an adjunct instructor at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Temple University. Her expertise has helped numerous families, professionals, and organizations.
Maria more recently (2023) became a certified life and relationship coach because of her continued desire to help all people thrive in relationships at home, work and in the community. This was when The Regulated Parent online coaching program began. She is currently working on a post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at Boston University. Maria believes that human purpose and meaning is derived most from honoring ourselves and the experience of connection with others.
