"Maria's coaching program has been life changing for me! It has helped me learn ways to approach my child that have made a huge difference in how we interact and problem solve together. Also the support and encouragement Maria and the others in the group provide has given me a new perspective on how to approach challenges with my child and in my own life."
"Working with Maria and the Exceptional Moms coaching group has helped me connect with other moms who understand the challenges of having a neurodivergent child. I have so many more tools and resources to use to navigate this journey for myself and my children. I would recommend the group and Maria to anyone looking for positive encouragement and community!"
"We have been working with Maria for the past several months to aid our elementary school-aged child’s ability to recognize and regulate emotions, and promote flexible thinking. We appreciate her real world tips and feedback to create effective change."
Maria's career began in the field of occupational therapy (OT) over 20 years ago, where she gained invaluable insights into the complexities of human behavior and the importance of social-emotional learning and self-regulation in order to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
In 2013, Maria founded In-Sync and Social, a private occupational therapy practice, using a combined sensory and behavioral approach to social emotional learning for children and adults. Through-out her career, she has worked in many settings, including pediatric hospitals, public & private schools, early intervention programs, and within leadership of behavioral health organizations. Maria is a trusted clinical and educational consultant both locally in the Philadelphia area and as a speaker at the national level on neuroscience and self-regulation. She has served as an adjunct instructor at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Temple University. Her expertise has helped numerous families, professionals, and organizations.
Maria became a certified life and executive coach because of her continued desire to help others develop their emotional intelligence and thrive in relationships at home, work and in the community. She is currently working on a post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at Boston University,
Maria believes that human purpose and fulfillment is all about relationships, and that quality of life, success, and happiness are derived most from loving ourselves and human experience of connection with others.
