

Maria's career began in the field of occupational therapy (OT) over 20 years ago. A lover of neuroscience, psychology, and human behavior, Maria believes that purpose and fulfillment is derived most from meaningful human connection and relationships.
In 2013, Maria founded In-Sync and Social in order to provide social- emotional learning and self-regulation therapeutic programming for neurodivergent children and adults. Through-out her career, she has worked in many settings, including pediatric hospitals, public & private schools, early intervention, and within leadership of behavioral health organizations. Maria is a trusted clinical and educational consultant both locally in the Philadelphia area and as a speaker at the national level on neuroscience and self-regulation. She has served as an adjunct instructor at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Temple University. Her expertise has helped numerous families, professionals, and organizations.
Maria is currently working on a post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at Boston University concentrated on increasing awareness and education on co-regulation between parent and child.
